Design

At first glance, it's easy to notice the fresh design touches on the truck's exterior. The grille -- which varies by trim level -- is narrower and framed by slimmer headlights. The front fascia is sleeker, and the body is longer, with the pickup's overall impression being much more sculpted. Available as either a Crew Cab or a Quad Cab, the 2019 Ram 1500 can be fitted with either a 5'7" or 6'4" bed. You have a choice of wheel options, and three headlight types are on offer: halogen, LED, and LED with adaptive front lighting. Altogether, the rugged truck now offers the upscale styling that makes a date night out a treat.

Performance

Your 2020 Ram 1500 has three engine options, starting with a standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine with an eTorque mild hybrid system that makes 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. There's also an available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 gas engine that produces 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while an available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with eTorque delivers best-in-class V8 engine towing capability of 12,750 pounds.

Trim Levels

Standard safety and driver-assistance features include a rearview camera and multiple airbags, while the truck has been constructed with 98 percent high-strength steel to make it the strongest Ram 1500 ever offered. One other feature worth mentioning is the pickup's 14.9-inch brakes, which are the largest in class.



There are six primary trims available for the 2020 Ram 1500:

  • Ram 1500 Tradesman is the base model, and is equipped with standard 18-inch wheels, active grille shutters to improve efficiency, power-adjustable side mirrors, push-button start, a rearview camera, electronic parking brake assist, trailer sway control, and a Uconnect 5.0-inch infotainment system.
  • Ram 1500 Big Horn adds a power-adjustable driver's seat and offers the ability to upgrade an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity.
  • Ram 1500 Rebel is perfect to take off-road since it comes with standard four-wheel drive, Bilstein shocks, and a host of off-road specific features. This model can also be fitted with the upgraded Uconnect infotainment system, as well as heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, park assist, and front and rear parking sensors.
  • Ram 1500 Laramie adds standard luxurious amenities to the Big Horn features, such as a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, satellite radio, leather upholstery, and the upgraded 8.4 Uconnect infotainment system.
  • Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn is outfitted with standard navigation,HD Radio, premium leather seats, ventilated rear seats, and front and rear parking sensors.
  • The top-of-the-line Ram 1500 Limited adds standard blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and wireless charging.
